2021年度サマーキャンプ

今年で18年目(17年目）を迎えるオーエンキャンプ。 ボランティアの皆様無しではありえないキャンプであると同時に、このキャンプの充実度を左右する重要な要素となっているのは、このキャンプを作り上げてく れているボランティアの皆様でもあります。多くの子供たちが楽しく、かつ安全に過ごすこ とが出来るよう、ご理解とご協力、よろしくお願い致します。

space参加形式

  • Jr. Counselor
    • 日本の学校システムで中学一年生と中学二年生 （誕生日が2007年4月2日～2009年4月1日の間の方）。2021年4月1日時点で12歳以上。
    • 参加費用：キャンパーのキャンプ参加費の半額。複数セッションに参加する場合、2セッション目以降は50％オフ。
  • CIT (Counselor In Training)
    • 生年月日が2007年4月1日より前の学生
    • オーエンカウンセラー経験が過去に2年ある者
    • 参加費用：キャンパーの参加費の1/3 。複数セッションに参加する場合、2セッション目以降は50％オフ。

    CIT (Counselor In Training)

    • オーエンカウンセラー経験が5年目またはそれ以上  または
      オーエンスタッフ及び本人の総合パフォーマンス評価により、充分なトレーニングと経験を積んだと見なした場合（スタッフが安心と信頼を持てるだけの責任、経験レベルがあると判断された場合）

2021年カウンセラートレーニング

Google Classroomを 使用します。

ボランティアカウンセラーとしての参加希望者は過去の経験有無にかかわらず、
トレーニングに参加する必要があります。
キャンプ自体に参加出来るかどうか未定でも
このトレーニングに参加していない場合のオーエンキャンプ初参加は受け付けません。

オーエンのカウンセラーとして

① コミュニケーション能力(スタッフと及びキャンパー保護者と）
② 書く力(キャンパーへのお手紙書き）
③ リーダーシップと責任感
④ 協調性
⑤ 子供との接し方
⑥ お手本となる態度と言語力
⑦ 自覚と熱意

を評価します。

応募方法と手順

１．2021年オーエンサマーキャンプページより応募
２．カウンセラートレーニング（課題を毎週提出）

３キャンプ自体への参加予定がトレーニングの時点では未定でも、キャンプ参加の可能性がある場合はトレーニング出席が必須となります。トレーニング参加無しでのキャンプ参加は認められません。

＜カウンセラーとして参加した場合のサービスアワーについて＞
サービスアワー申請に必要な手続き（書類の用意など）は、学生自身の責任でおこなってください。学校規定の書類や、方法に従ってください。
MCPSの場合は、ボランティア活動終了後に、Reflectionの部分の下書きをEmailにてお送りください。こちらが目を通し内容を確かめた後で、用紙に書き込んでください。
尚、SSLなどのサービスアワーの時間は、評価により実質のボランティア時間と異なる時間を承認する場合もあります

Because O-en camp has become much well-known in the community, we would like to more focus on our better services and quality. O-en camp cannot be done without volunteers’ commitment. It is also very important how those volunteers work in order to create this camp in a meaningful and safe environment. We all can work together to provide the service that the community can trust.

Types of Counselors

  • Jr. Counselor
    • At least 12 years old AND was born between 2007/4/2 and 2009/4/1
    • Camp fee: 50％ of Camper package price . 50% off after the first session if you participate in multiple sessions.
  • CIT (Counselor In Training)
    • You are born before 2007/04/01
    • You completed O-en counselor experience  at least 2 years, and this is your 3rd year or more
    • Camp Fee: 1/3 of Camper package price. 50% off after the first session if you participate in multiple sessions.
  • Counselor
    • Total of your O-en experience is 5 years or more AND you have met all the expectations.（When O-en staff see that you are reliable and responsible and have enough experience)

2021 Counselor Training will be on Google Classroom

Expectations

① Communication skills (with other staff and counselors, and campers’ parents)
② Writing skills (letter writing to campers)
③ Leadership and responsibility
④ Cooperation
⑤ Relationship with children
⑥ Appropriate manner and language use
⑦ Self-awareness and commitment (including the use of Japanese) along with your own self-evaluation.

Your SSL and community service hours that can be approved and awarded may be less than your actual attending hours depending on your performance and evaluation.
